National treasure Rolf Harris has revealed his admiration for guerrilla graffiti artist Banksy.
The Australian told the Daily Telegraph that he enjoys Banksy's satirical pieces of art, which can be found on the side of buildings and landmarks across the world in places such as London, Sydney and the West Bank.
Rolf also said that he would jump at the chance to collaborate with the Bristol-born street artist, who is famous for creating anarchic and subversive art.
He told the newspaper: "He's fantastic! He does very artistic work with a great sense of humour. I'd like to meet him and congratulate him."
While Rolf expressed his approval for Banksy, he was less complimentary towards the rest of the art world's enfant terribles such as Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin, who dominated the Britain's art scene during the 1990s.
Harris said that he did not fully understand the motivation behind some of their controversial artwork and wished they could express their abilities without having to seek publicity.
He told the Telegraph: "She can be brilliant, but she's been seduced by the performance side of things. Like, what can she do to get attention? I just wish they [Hirst and Emin] would show their talent more."
Despite turning 80 this year, Rolf still has the energy to entertain thousands of people as he demonstrated when he opened the 2010 Glastonbury festival to critical acclaim.
The showbiz legend showed that he still had mass appeal as he performed in front of 70,000 festival folk while thousands more of his fans have attended his national art tour to view originals and Rolf Harris prints.
Art enthusiasts may be keen to know that Rolf Harris prints, paintings and originals can be viewed at the Clarendon Fine Art Gallery in London until July 19th.
The former Animal Hospital host went onto say that painting is the most enjoyable part of his day and he hopes to do it for as long as possible.
Rolf told the Telegraph: "It all comes back to paintings, really. I do it every day. It's wonderful. It immerses you. When I am painting I have no record of time. I see everything as a picture."
Fans of Rolf's music will be interested to know that the entertainer revealed to the Metro newspaper that Kate Bush has recorded an as-yet unreleased duet with him.
Rolf also told the publication that if he was a kangaroo, he would keep a wobble board, a didgeridoo and a piano accordion in his pouch.
