Kids are naturally energetic. They love to participate in any fun activity, and we love to watch them explore things on their own.
In most cases after school kid's activities are all about fun, however there are also some activities that can help children in other areas of learning, and are much more than just "fun." That is what music lessons can be for kids. Learning to play a musical instrument can be one of the most beneficial kid's activities in Singapore.
Musical lessons seem to help train the cognitive area of the brain and helps kids in problem solving issues. It has long been established that children who learn to play some type of musical instrument are better in other learning areas like math, and are also known to be better.
This can be extremely beneficial to grade school aged children but also for children who are entering high school. Many studies show that when a high school student is in a choir or a band, they do better in subjects involving mathematics.
In many cases it is their musical interest that keeps a child focused on other more important areas of his life. It is the incentive they need to do other things. Many school principles believe that is the relationship that children have with music which keeps them interested in school.
Music also brings mentoring into a child's life.
