Here is a fantastic card trick that is great for many reasons. One is that it's incredibly easy to learn. Another is that you can do it again and again, and they'll never figure it out. Yet another is you can do this on friends, strangers, or even family members. You don't to practice any sneaky sleight of hand tricks or anything like that. By the time you finish reading this, you'll be good to go.
This is how the illusion will appear to your ecstatic audience. You produce two packs of cards, with a different design on the back. You ask an audience member to come forward to help you out. You give them one deck, and instruct them to do the same thing as you. You both shuffle the cards a few times, and then switch decks with them.
After you switch decks, you both go through the deck, and choose a card. Take out your card, put it on top of the stack, and have them do the same. Cut your deck a few times, and have them do the same with theirs. Then you exchange decks once more. After that you have them search through the deck, and find their card, putting it face down on the table. You do the same, and place yours right next to theirs. So the both of you have picked your respective card from your respective decks. They will be astonished beyond belief when they see that both cards are the same.
Here's the trick. Prior to handing over the deck, steal a sneak peak at the bottom card. After that, they select a card and put it on top. When they cut the cards, they will be placing the card that you've seen on top of their cards. No matter how many times they cut the deck, their card will be underneath the card that you've seen.
When you swap decks a second time, just pull out the card that is directly underneath the card you glanced at earlier. They will, of course, pick the same card from your deck, as it's their chosen card. There is so much deck switching, and cutting, and card choosing, there's no way anybody can follow this. So naturally, they will be incredibly impressed when time and time again, your card matches theirs.
There are a couple ways to set this up, or set up your "story" to go along with this trick. You can claim to be psychic, and read their minds. Or you can chastise every time for breaking into your mind and reading your thoughts. Alternatively, if you want to have a little fun, you can act like you have no idea why your cards are always the same. Have a good time with this easy trick.
