Here's a great card trick that will always impress them, and they will never figure out how you do it, unless of course you choose to tell them. This is great with both kids and adults. And it's perfect to add your own story or personal patter to make it unique to yourself. They are plenty of ways to reveal this cool trick.

Here's the basic trick, as it appears to your audience. Simply hold out a regular deck of cards, like the beginning of any classic card trick. Then you instruct them to pick a card, any card. They choose card, and you tell them to study it carefully, and show it to their friends. When they return their card to the deck, you take a brief moment to read their mind, and pick it right out of the deck. They will be amazed, and think you have powerful psychic powers.

Here's how to do the trick. While they are busily studying their card, you separate the deck, and create a place for them to place their card. All you need to do is take a quick peak at the card that you will place on top of theirs. Just remember this card, and once they place there's in the deck, you'll know exactly what card comes after. You can reveal this trick many different ways.

The most obvious way is to simply pretend you are reading their mind while looking through the cards. Then when you get to there's (which is next to the one you peaked at), you simply pull it out. This part alone will be enough to spellbind any audience. But wait, there's more.

You look through the deck, making like you are searching for it in earnest. Once you get to there card, separate and re stack the deck so their card is on top. Then place the deck face down on a table, say some magic words, tap the top, and there card will be on top. Of course, there are more ways to reveal this.

Once you have their card on top, place the deck behind your back, or under the table. Then quickly take their card out, flip it over, and place it back in the deck, so it's facing the opposite direction of all the other cards. Then pretend that you can't guess their card, and get them to tell you which one it was. Then simply look through the deck, now with the cards face up, and there's will be the only card that is face down. This is only a few ways to reveal their card, I'm sure you can think of many others. Of course, the more you pretend you have powerful psychic powers, the better. You'll have a stunned audience in no time, wanting to see more tricks. Have fun with this.
