Many businesses invest large amounts of resources into marketing their products and/or services at national venues like Trade Shows and Business Expos but where is the fed back from the consumers and where is the return on investment. These two questions have a great impact on how much an how long a company will invest in event marketing. In this article we will address the new direct marketing strategies being implemented to satisfy how companies justify investing in event marketing.

Speaking in a general sense companies plan endeavors based off of budgets likewise with event marketing. When considering all of the marketing channels available companies have to make the cost effective decision as to which avenue will bring the most quality or focused traffic and for the least amount of money. When considering the cost of frequently participating in event marketing we begin to glimpse the justification of investing in event marketing. As the recession continues companies are growing weary of the traditional means of marketing without any foreseeable results which has been the case of investing in event marketing in the past. Companies are pursing direct marketing strategies which blossom results faster than traditional marketing. What event marketing companies have found is trendy and successful is to hire female and male promotional models to engage consumers at trade shows and conventions with the sole purpose of speaking with the consumer regarding their interest with the product (prequalifying the lead and lead generation) and bring attention to the brand (brand awareness). When the promotional models has prequalified the consumer the promotional model sets up an appointment for a follow up; the client would receive the sales lead the day it was recorded. Companies have found using promotional models in this fashion is an exceptional means of marketing due to the fact the company is benefiting from exposing the product to well over 200,000 targeted consumers per month (brand awareness), generating and capturing high volume of sales leads in a small frame of time (lead generation), and prequalifyng the sales leads (lead prequalification). Companies are cutting cost and finding more cost efficient ways of conducting business one way is by hiring promotional models to capture sales leads at trade shows, which is benefiting the company by paying one company (the promotional model agency) to perform three services instead of paying three separate companies to perform three different services. Most of all companies are finding the cost of hiring promotional models for brand awareness, lead generation, and prequalifying leads is cheaper and more productive than hiring three different companies to execute these essential practices.
