There are two schools of thought when asking about the best home theatre system. One are the audiophiles who are very discerning when it comes to sound and the other are videophiles who tend to take the visual aspect of the best home theatre system seriously. There are other brands that offer a unique service. Yamaha for example has their YPAO software service which does the sound adjustment to your room. The machine performs a diagnostic check using small built in microphones and an equalizer. It checks to acquire the best sound for the room by checking the speaker connections and phase, and then tones are sent which the microphone captures and makes the calibrated adjustment based on the resonant acoustics.

For Flat Screens, Samsung and LG are great buys value for money as they have the leading cutting edge technology when it comes to Plasma, LCD, and LED production. Korea is the principal source of production for flat screen technology. They have invested billions in research and development and are constantly coming up with newer and even smaller generations of flat screens and even touch screen television sets.

Still there are other brands that have premium value due to its design and its history as innovators in the audio industry. Among them are Dolby, which actually invented the platform of the 2.1, 5.1 and 7.1 systems we use, Pioneer Altec Lansing and JB Lansing, who were brothers in the audio industry to begin with, Harmon Kardon and others. Among the Known Brands in the Video Industry are Panasonic, Sony, Samsung, LG and many more. In the end the best home theatre system is based on your preferences and likes. After all, there are so many choices these days and have price ranges affordable to everyone.
