A bachelorette party is one of the last opportunities for the friends, family and acquaintances of the bride-to-be to have fun with her before she rides off with her man into the sunset after the wedding. So this is a special time to relish when they still have the girl with them.

Planning for a bachelorette party can either be a simple task or a major undertaking based on the kind of event that you have in mind. One of the first things that need to be fixed is the budget for the event. That will ultimately determine the kind of activity and the type of venue that you can get for the occasion. Once you have set the budget, you should then draft a detailed breakup of the budget showing the amount allocated for each item in the list. This exercise will give you a fairly good idea on how much to spend on what item. Once the limits are set, you should ensure that all your choices don't exceed the fixed amounts.

Then you can go ahead and select the venue for the event. This again should be selected with your budget in mind. Most often, the venue might also have some interesting activity associated with it. For instance, some people choose a spa as the venue for the bachelorette party and experience the luxury of having all the beauty treatments offered in the spa. Likewise, when you choose your venue, you can look for activities and services that they offer for their guests. Alternately, you can first look for a certain activity that you are interested in and then choose the venue that offers it.

You can book a seaside resort and spend the weekend in the sun and the sea. You can also think about spending time in a theme park for the event. For instance, you can spend the weekend at Disneyland as a gang and have the time of your lives. So it is just a matter of deciding what you like to do best as a group and find a place that offers that activity.

The next task is to come up with the guest list. Some people might have a huge list while others might have a fairly short list. You can split the list into two - must-have and optional. The must-have list would contain the names of people that you would most certainly want for the bachelorette party. The optional list will contain the names of people you might retain or drop depending on the number of people you can accommodate in the budget.
