Brest feeding is a very serious period in girl's life. As a lady knows that together with milk her baby gets everything what she eats. That is why a mother has to follow a diet for at least several first months.

Every mother has to choose her own eating regime, judging from the physical reactions of her child. The parts of child's body which react on incorrect or inappropriate food are: cheeks, buttocks, the part near ears, scalp and other sensitive parts of child's body.
Creating a diet you have to remember the main principles which you have take into account:
1. Each new product should be added to the diet separately, so that you could see the reaction of child. During the period of breast feeding it is advised to make a food diary. The reaction of the infant can be seen not necessary on the first day but it can be found on the second day or even later, so with the help of a diary it would be easier to see which one of the food has caused such a reaction.
2. If during a breast feeding a woman has to undergo some medical treatment, it has been taken only after a consultation with a child's doctor.
3. Alcohol drinks are firmly forbidden.
4. The lady who is involved in breast feeding has to avoid the following foodstuffs:
Sausages, smoke products; ketchup, mayonnaise; cabbage, grape, carbonated drink; food additives; chicken and fish broth; caviar; refined carbohydrates: cakes, chocolate, semolina; cucumbers, tomatoes; pumpkin, carrot; strawberries, bananas, kiwis and oranges.
So, our advices to the diet are the following:
1. While the first two days you have to follow the diet which composed from next products:
Buckwheat porridge on the water with vegetable oil; hard-baked grain bread or crisp bread; a piece of cheese; a piece of boiled beef; up to 2 liters of liquid: nettle infusion, the infusion of fungus, mineral water without gas.
2. Starting from the 3d day of breast feeding, the diet is expanding:
The liquid is decreases to 0.8-1 liters, because on the 3-4th days there is the let-down of milk; green apples baked in foil; baked, stewed, and steamed vegetables: squash, turnip, rutabaga, cauliflower; a cup of boiled fermented milk, or sour milk or milk (if you usually drink it); compote of dried fruits; porridges; vegetarian soups with a small amount of potato; offal, as a dietary supplement, to prevent constipation and as a source of vitamins for a small infant;
3. From the 7th day the diet broadens more. Now a woman can also eat: boiled fish; a weak beef broth; couscous; acid curd; fresh green apples; the quantity of liquid is gradually restored to 2-2.5 liters.
4. To the 21st day of breast feeding a nursing mother can start eating: boiled chicken; eggs; baked in the skin potato; oatmeal; beet; biscuits; pears, lemon; cowberry and cranberry juice.
