Titanium, known as the space age metal because of its demand in the aerospace industry, is one of the strongest natural elements known to man. It is at least 30% stronger than steel, but weighs only half as much. It is the most hypoallergenic metal known. It has excellent corrosion resistance against salt water, chlorides and acids. It is ultra hard, heat resistant and scratch resistant, with low light absorption and high visible light transmittance. Seiko Titanium is fairly abundant in the earth's crust, but is extremely expensive due to the difficulties faced in isolating it. Tachymeter ring present on outer edge of dial. It gives the average speed per hour. A date window is at 3 o’clock position. The dial is black and markers on chronograph subdials are shown by white text. While the hour markers of the watch are stainless steel structure. Three subdials are present at 6, 9 and 12 position. The logo named “Seiko Chronograph Titanium 100M” is located just besides date window. Hands are luminous and glow in night or dark. The case and bracelet is titanium made. The crown resting on case is for adjustment in time, alarm hand and stopwatch hand position. Two press buttons at 2 and 4 o’clock are to operate stopwatch and alarm. The stopwatch can measure up to 60 minutes in 1/5-second increments. At the designated time the alarm rings for 20 seconds, and it is automatically disengaged as it stops. Use the stopwatch to determine how many seconds it takes to go 1 km or 1 mile. The crystal used on dial is hardlex and makes dial scratch resistance. The bracelet is fixed by secure matt finished folded clasp. When the battery nears its end, the small second hand moves at two-second intervals instead of normal one-second intervals.
